About the Role

Our client a Global leading renewable energy and engineering firm. Is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales (Renewable Energy & Digital) to lead sales efforts in global digital products and transformations, specializing in the renewable energy industry across the Americas. Reporting to the VP/Head of Sales, as Director of Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and establishing strategic partnerships to cultivate new and existing key accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 15+ years in B2B sales, a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, and exceptional leadership skills.

Requirements

Strategic Sales Leadership:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business goals, focusing on digital solutions for the renewable energy sector.

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.


Revenue Growth:


  • Drive growth in the sales pipeline and revenue streams within the renewable energy software solutions sector.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities based on industry knowledge, market trends, and digitalization needs.


Key Account Management:


  • Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing key accounts, emphasizing the value of our digital solutions.

  • Understand key accounts' business objectives and challenges to deliver customized digital solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional delivery of digital products and services.


Market Expansion in Digital Solutions:


  • Identify and penetrate new markets, both geographically and within the renewable energy digitalization sector.

  • Actively participate in industry events to increase brand visibility, showcase digital solutions, and generate leads.


Sales Performance Analysis for Software Solutions:


  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for accurate forecasting and achievement of sales targets for digital solutions.

  • Utilize sales automation tools and CRM systems for effective management of the sales process for software solutions.


Contract Negotiation for Digital Solutions:


  • Lead negotiations of complex agreements and contracts related to renewable energy software solutions.

  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute digital solution agreements.


Team Development for Digital Solutions:


  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team focused on digital solutions, setting clear performance goals and fostering a culture of innovation.

  • Encourage a positive and collaborative team culture that supports the growth of digital solution sales.


Safety and Leadership:


  • Follow safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions.

  • Participate in hiring processes, create a compelling vision, and provide mentorship to the team.
